'I lean softly against the frame of the back door at Actum Studio while mixing paper glue in a yogurt jar. Rain pours endlessly, hitting the ground with a steady rhythm, and I am suddenly filled with an overwhelming calmness. In a dry space, moisture slowly seeps into me. It grounds me. Encloses me. I am melting downward.

I am thinking of this book, for which I’m mixing the glue. At this moment of leaning, watching the rain fall- in the middle of the process of it- a strong moment of fullness, here and now, emerges so unexpectedly. All that worldly beauty suddenly hangs around me.…Here, with the brush and the yogurt jar, in the doorway of Actum Studio, it’s all happening- almost unknowingly.' (Note, September 2024)

I Will Tell It to You Through the Clouds, Through the Light Pink Color, in the Late Night Sky is an artist book that combines visual poetry and oil-paint-like photography with traditional bookmaking techniques. The book was produced at Actum Studio using traditional binding equipment originating from earlier bookmaking practices, and it contains old archival papers from Jørgensens Bogtrykkeri. The long production process involved extensive testing, learning, and adapting fragile materials to the requirements of bookbinding, while preserving their unique character throughout the subtle process of transforming them into the book block.

All books are fully hand-bound, made between 2023-2025 by the author in 33 copies.
